The 5% for Vets Fund 2019 Recipient: Dog Tags New York

It is that special time of year again when I fulfill my promise to the recipient of the 5% for Vets Fund. This years recipient is Dog Tags New York. CO Founded by Joe Ruszala and Michael Shanley. This non-profit does an amazing job paring rescue dogs with a Veteran in need of an emotional support animal. Dog Tags New York covers all the adoption fees and pays for the training classes for the dog and Veteran. Truly working miracles in the lives of Veterans suffering from PTSD, Anxiety and other issues stemming from their service to our great country.

Dog Tags NY's mission is to heal. To heal the wounded soldier whose damages are unseen. To heal the wounded animal whose trust has been broken. Dog Tags New York empowers members of the veteran community through interaction with rescue animals. We build purpose, trust, and camaraderie, while aiding in transition and adjustment. We take our mission to Veteran and animal organizations throughout the state.
